WHAT HAPPENED?
Mac Allister will miss the first Merseyside derby of the season after receiving a yellow card in the first half of Liverpool's game against Newcastle United for a foul on Fabian Schar.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The booking was Mac Allister's fifth of the season. As such, he will serve a one-match suspension. He'll be available again when Liverpool host Fulham on December 14.
